Richard Rawes discusses the development of the London Bridge area starting from the late 1990's with the opening of the Jubilee line extension, Millennium Bridge and Tate Modern. Rawes goes on to outline the potential of new developments such as; the London bridge station redevelopment, the Shard of Glass, Tate Modern extension, Borough Markets and Borough high street. Rawes showcases the architectural plans for the redevelopment of these areas and discussed other proposed developments, which include; One Blackfriar’s Road –a 51 storey hotel and residential complex and 20 Blackfriar’s Road – a two tower development, one commercial office space and the other residential.
